SkyBus acquire GC airport service
SkyBus aims to launch the Gold Coast service in mid-December, subject to regulatory approvals

The Gold Coast Tourist Shuttle will be rebranded to SkyBus Gold Coast livery as part of the move.

"Our move into Gold Coast is an exciting elevation of the brand providing a vital and
world class service to one of Australasia’s most popular destinations," SkyBus co-CEO and Director Adam Begg says.

"With Gold Coast Airport showing strong, continual year on year growth, increasingly from its long-haul and domestic passengers, we are optimistic that SkyBus Gold Coast will be the way to go for many travelling to and from this popular destination.

"We have received strong request demand from our passengers for this service and are
confident that we can successfully grow SkyBus Gold Coast to be a world-class airport
express that is reliable, convenient and affordable for all travellers."

Gold Coast Airport is one of the fastest growing in Australia and its longterm
mass transit vision makes it the ideal partner for SkyBus.

"The operation of this shuttle has long been an important part of the transport offering at
Gold Coast Airport and we look forward to working with SkyBus on the delivery of the
service," Gold Coast Airport Chief Operating Officer Marion Charlton says.

Surfside Buslines General Manager Martin Hall says the company is excited about the future, as Surfside Buslines and SkyBus explore opportunities to develop new transport services for Gold Coast tourists.

"Every year we help millions of people commute for work and leisure purposes. For these
reasons, we are focused on enhancing this service as demand for shuttle transport
increases in the region," he says.

As part of SkyBus’ rebranding effort, all Gold Coast Tourist Shuttle buses will progressively move to SkyBus’ livery and will be fitted with free Wi-Fi, internal luggage racks.
