Historical Coach Documentary

A documentary on Australian bus history has been released by Viewmark Films

A new documentary about Australia’s long haul buses of the 1980s and early ‘90s is now available after being released by Viewmark Films.

Viewmark is a small production company that produces documentaries about Australia’s transport history.

Australian Coachlines is a 52-minute long look at what the coach industry was like in the late 20th Century, with a focus on operators such as Greyhound, Bus Australia, Pioneer and McCafferty’s.

One part of the documentary is a more detailed history of one particular set of coaches, Greyhound’s Silver Eagles.

Producer and filmmaker at Viewmark, Gordon Lowe, says the film aims to provide an interesting view of the long haul bus industry as of a quarter of a century ago.

“The film took about 15 months to make,” says Lowe.

“The documentary will appeal to all those who love the bus industry, former long haul coach drivers, and anyone interested in Australian transport history.”

The documentary can be ordered from Viewmark’s website.
