ABC magazine takes a look back at the year that was with a 12-part online special

Like fine wine, some things just get better with time.

And while the bus industry can surely appreciate a fine wine (or two), there have been times throughout there year when it was important to get down to business.

It was a year of achievements for industry and now it’s time to take a look back at the year of 2015.

Not enough to go ‘round

The sheer number of air-conditioning suppliers in Australia may not be sustainable in the long-term, was the message coming from suppliers in the annual air-conditioning buyers’ guide.

Suppliers were interviewed at the expo and the overwhelming response is the number of suppliers locally may have reached tipping point.

Flying high

ABC magazine was also given an exclusive insight into the operations of mining transport at Buslink Vivo, in Darwin.

The operator is an amalgamation of Buslink and Transdev Australasia – under its Vivo brand – and was created specifically to transport workers to the local mining sight.

While the contract may not last forever, managers of the business are confident the success of the team could lead to further contracts.
