2015 REVIEW: February
The Fuso Canter FG in its natural environment in the Blue Mountains

Like fine wine, some things just get better with time.

And while the bus industry can surely appreciate a fine wine (or two), there have been times throughout there year when it was important to get down to business.

It was a year of achievements for industry and now it’s time to take a look back at the year of 2015.

Singing along

Singapore’s Land Transport Authority set a precedent with a call for tenders to operate bus routes in the city.

Only one Australian operator vied for this contract which attracted bids from all over the world.

While unsuccessful this round, there is still plenty of future competition for operators with more calls to come.

Four-wheel Fuso

February’s bus test review saw technical review Steve Skinner take the Fuso Canter FG off road.

The bus bashing truck-hybrid has been used as a tourist coach for adventure seekers as well as an off road mining bus.

Skinner describes the bus as a "good little unit" and had some fun with the test drive outside of Sydney.
