Like fine wine, some things just get better with time.

And while the bus industry can surely appreciate a fine wine (or two), there have been times throughout there year when it was important to get down to business.

It was a year of achievements for industry and now it’s time to take a look back at the year of 2015.

Test of aptitude

The Bus Association of Victoria (BusVic) 2015 Maintenance Conference and Bus Expo saw the first ever ‘conference app’ for an Australian bus industry conference.

About 500 people used the app throughout the show which was held over two days.

The annual maintenance conference remained the backbone of the show but the new elements blended together well, according to organisers.

Beach Bliss

Up in Coffs Harbour, the technology trend continued for the month with Ryans Bus Service’s Nigel Tooth developing an app to help rural and regional operators with their ticketing and reporting requirements.

The transportme app has been patented and his gained support from BusNSW.
