Like fine wine, some things just get better with time.

And while the bus industry can surely appreciate a fine wine (or two), there have been times throughout there year when it was important to get down to business.

It was a year of achievements for industry and now it’s time to take a look back at the year of 2015.

Greater good

The Bus Industry Confederation (BIC) invited delegates to attend the National Technical and Suppliers Summit in Canberra in conjunction with the National Industrial Relations Seminar 2015.

The event is an opportunity to update industry on its progress as association membership reaches the highest levels of all. Of note was the launch of the fourth policy paper in the Moving People series; 20-minute city.

Seamless transition

The annual Seating Buyers’ Guide was also published with industry veteran McConnell Seats Australia taking centre stage.

The supplier has recently been acquired by Malaysian manufacturer APM, but general manager James Lowe insists business is booming with more expansions on the horizon.
