NHVR report released

National Heavy Vehicle Regulator 2014-2015 Annual Report has been released to public

National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) has released its 2014-2015 Annual Report, has been tabled in parliament recently.

NHVR chief executive officer Sal Petroccitto says the report outlines the regulator’s achievements and performance in pursuit of a more productive and safe heavy vehicle industry for Australia.

“I am proud of the remarkable turnaround that has been achieved by our organisation over the last financial year,” he says.

“We have taken a major step towards regulating more efficiently and effectively. Our solid performance in 2014-2015 has been achieved in close cooperation with the Commonwealth, State, Territory and Local Governments.

“I would also like to acknowledge the professionalism and dedication of our staff, and the continued support from industry – all of whom have played a key role in advancing the efforts of this national initiative.

“Our platform of regulatory consistency through a continually refined single Heavy Vehicle National Law will deliver future productivity. We will continue to collaborate with industry and partner agencies to build a safer, more productive and innovative heavy vehicle industry.”

NHVR’s achievements in 2014-15 include 78,510 access permits issued by the NHVR and jurisdictions and 894 vehicle combinations and 3,762 individual units certified under the PBS framework.
