Cheap fares for NZ

New Zealand’s North Islander passengers can enjoy reduced fares on long distance services

A New Zealand operator is offering fares between major regional towns in the North Island from $1 to reduce the cost of travel around the country.

Naked Bus will sell fares on major for under $10, with many other locations selling for up to $20.

The lower fares are available for two weeks or until they run out and are for travel dates in February.

Chief executive officer Hamish Nuttall says it is great news for travellers making the most of the summer and for students heading to university.

“It’s also a great opportunity for our regular travellers who commute between regional centres, particularly between Auckland and Hamilton where we have increased our service to run nine trips a day each way,” he says.

“We are committed to reducing the cost of travel around New Zealand and we see this as a way of helping our customers during one of the busiest times of the year.

“Our overseas customers will benefit as they will be able to travel between some of our North Island hot-spots, enjoy the country and make their holiday budget go further.”
