The Nightrider bus services in Australian Capital Territory will be running throughout December
The Nightrider bus service in Canberra will be back next month providing residents with a safe, reliable and low cost way to get home during the festive season.
Nightrider services will operate on most weekends and New Year’s Eve during December.
“It is a great way to get home using public transport late at night, particularly for those who have been out in to the bars and clubs,” reads a statement released by operator Action.
This year ten Nightrider routes, each servicing a different area of Canberra, will drop passengers off at the nearest bus stop to their home.
Services will depart from Platform 7 in the City Bus Station from midnight onwards with extra services operating on New Year’s Eve.
A trip on Nightrider will cost just $5 cash and MyWay cards will not be accepted.
Transport officers will be on hand in the City Bus Station to assist passengers with finding their best Nightrider service option.
