ACT Network 14 has begun

Australian Capital Territory’s new Network 14 bus services commenced this week

Action’s Network 14 bus services are now in operation, with the first services running on September 1.

“With Network 14 in operation, Canberrans now have access to more direct routes, increased frequency of buses, and better connections,” says Director Public Transport James Roncon.

During the first three days of Network 14’s commencement, Action staff were at various stations during the morning and afternoon peak periods to assist public with the changes.

“Advertising is also continuing on board buses, at bus stations with PA announcements and variable message boards at the Woden, City and Belconnen Community bus stations, at major bus stops and through social and digital media, print and radio,” says Roncon.

The start of the new network coincides with the rollout of the NXTBUS system, which allows for buses to be tracked via online, SMS, phone and digital displays.

A dedicated phone line has also been established to handle enquiries on school services and will be in operation September 12.
