NextThere a hit

An app offering real-time public transport information in NSW has proven to be a hit

A free real-time public transport app has been a hit with New South Wales commuters with over 11,000 downloads since it was released earlier this month.

NextThere was released on the App Store on July 2 providing a free real time app to Sydney public transport customers.

“We’re working hard to give customers the power of real time information in the palm of their hand,” says a Transport for NSW spokesman.

“NextThere is the next app that joins the suite of five other real time apps customers have flocked to, with more than 2 million downloads and more than 40 million requests for real time data each month.”

NextThere has stormed the competition and bolted to the top of the apps charts in its first few days.

“Only two weeks in and there have already been more than 11,000 downloads, and Apple have decided to highlight the app in the coveted position of one of the best new apps available on the App Store,” he says.

“Customers can download the free version giving them an easy way to set up their favourite journeys, get automatic alerts about disruptions and enjoy a customer friendly design developed for the new iOS 7 operating system.

“A paid upgrade is also available for customers who require more features like push notification alerts.”
