New TFF CEO

Margy Osmond has been appointed as the new CEO for the Tourism & Transport Forum

Margy Osmond will take on the role of Chief Executive Officer for the Tourism & Transport Forum (TTF) in October after an extensive recruitment process.

TTF Chairman Bruce Baird says Osmond brings a wealth of relevant skills and experience from her diverse roles in politics, business and the tourism, events, sports and arts sectors.

“We are extremely pleased to announce Ms Osmond’s appointment as TTF’s new Chief Executive Officer following an extensive recruitment process,” he says.

Osmond’s experience includes a role as Chief Executive Officer of the Australian National Retailers Association and the NSW State Chamber of Commerce and being a current Board member of the Australian Sports Commission and the NSW TAFE Commission Board.

“She is a well-established commentator with a strong track record of policy and campaign development,” says Baird.

“I am confident Ms Osmond will capably drive TTF’s advocacy of the economic importance of the tourism and transport sectors in Australia.”

Osmond says she is looking forward to joining TTF.

“TTF is Australia’s pre-eminent tourism and transport advocacy and industry group, and I am very excited about the opportunity to lead the organisation,” she says.

“It covers a great breadth and depth of policy areas and is also the nation’s only multi-modal transport industry group.

“TTF has a strong reputation for driving key industry issues and achieving results.  My focus will be on keeping the industry’s issues at the forefront of the political agenda.”

Osmond will commence in the role on October 1, 2014, with Trent Zimmerman TTF Acting Chief Executive in the interim.
