Professional service delivery strengthens

Bauer Trader media group strikes two-year partnership with CILTA

Australia’s leading business to business publisher has teamed up with the region’s foremost transport and logistics institute in a media deal which will add strength to professional service delivery and training across multiple sectors.

Bauer Trader Media, publishers of Australian Transport News (ATN) and Australasian Bus and Coach (ABC), has entered into a two year media agreement with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Australia (CILTA).

The agreement is timely for both parties, seeking to strengthen their respective premier positions in transport and logistics.

As part of the agreement, Bauer Trader Media will sponsor and promote CILTA’s annual awards program, maintain coverage of CILTA’s events and provide a two year vehicle for ongoing news and expert commentary in transport and logistics.

Bauer Trader Media has agreed to offer CILTA members free subscriptions for participating titles for the first six months, followed by an ongoing 20 per cent discount for the life of the two year agreement.

Bauer Trader Media Associated Publisher Graham Gardiner says the arrangement provides CILTA with increased brand awareness across freight transport and logistics, and gives the industry association an opportunity to move with Bauer into expanding activity in the public transport sector.

CILTA Chairman Andrew Stewart endorsed the agreement as a vehicle to consolidate the Institute’s engagement with bus and coach industry professionals.

Stewart pointed to CILTA’s Certified Passenger Professional initiative, which had already proved successful since its inauguration earlier this year.

“We hope to get a ‘spark’ off the passenger transport industry which has gone through a revolution in the last 20 years,” he says.

The media partnership commenced on February 24, 2014, and will be reviewed in 2016.
