Organisers of this year’s Euro Bus Expo are experiencing unprecedented demand for this year’s leading international trade fair for the bus and coach industry.

Show Director Mark Griffin says this is great news for the passenger transport industry.

"We haven’t experienced demand for exhibiting space to this level since 2006," he says.

"Indeed, with only limited availability remaining, this sends a very positive message that there is a return to confidence amongst suppliers."

Over 260 exhibiting companies are expected to participate this year, with audience attendance forecast to be in excess of 10,000.

Confederation of Passenger Transport UK Chief Executive Officer Simon Posner says many of the confirmed exhibitors are looking to increase trade not only in the UK, but also in a number of key international markets.

"Euro Bus Expo is engaging with UKTI’s export trade team to set up a number of initiatives. These will support UK based companies capitalise on overseas opportunities, and encourage high-level decision makers to attend the exhibition."

The organisers of Euro Bus Expo are carrying out their own research to further investigate levels of export business within the bus and coach industry.

The high demand for exhibition space is set against a backdrop of growth in the industry, with the last five months of 2013 seeing a positive trend in bus and coach sales, as reported by motor industry body SMMT at the turn of the year.

The Euro Bus Expo will be held on November 4 to 6, 2014, in Birmingham, England.
