The Dineen Group has further expanded its portfolio with the purchase of Cann’s Bus Lines, based in Corowa, NSW, this month.

The group includes businesses such as Warragul Bus Lines, Panorama Coaches and Martyrs Bus Service, based in Victoria.

It also includes McKenzie’s Tourist Services, Berwick Bus Lines, Westernport Road Lines and Sandringham Coaches.

The group recently added Cann’s Bus Lines to their portfolio, and the purchase was made on November 1, 2013 and has been effective since.

Group Manager Phil Radford says the company decided to purchases Cann’s Bus Lines, as it was identified as similar to the group which operates primarily as a school service operator.

Radford says the group already has services in the area but were keen to further expand.

He says vehicle replacements are underway in the newly acquired business with a view to update Cann’s older fleet.

Apart from this, Radford says the business will otherwise remain the same apart from new management.

“All employees were offered ongoing employment,” he says.

Radford says he is unable to disclose the amount of purchase due to a confidentiality agreement.

The sale was negotiated by Heritage Corporate who extended their thanks and congratulations to the Cann’s family.

The team was led by Project Manager Candice Hendra, with legal assistance provided by Herbert Smith Freehills.
