The Bus Industry Confederation 2013 National Conference this month will boast one of the best social programmes yet, according to organisers.

The conference will be held at Adelaide Convention Centre from October 27 to 30, and includes guest speakers, technical tours, social functions and the noted Iveco and Custom bus auction.

Entertainment at the social functions will have an Adelaide Fringe festival theme – which many of the performers have participated in themselves as well as other festivals around the world.

Bus Industry Confederation Executive Director Michael Apps is encouraging people to get along to the conference, which is based around the future of the industry.

He says the conference focuses on the growth of the industry and provides operators and suppliers with valuable information “about the business and the way things are heading”.

“At the same time, engaging in discussion with senior officers from most Australian state transport authorities,” he says.

Highlights of the show include “a great list of industry and government speakers” which are “highly informative,” according to Apps.

He says the entertainment at the events “will make the social program one of the best yet”.

The confederation has received just over 300 registrations so far, although this is expected to rise between 350 to 400 people.

Apps says people intending to register need to get onto it today.
