Nominations are now open for the 2013 National Transport and Logistics Industry Excellence Awards, and given the testimony of a previous winner, the awards could open doors.

Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport International Young Professional of the Year Leigh Williams recently won an international award as well as the Australian young professional award.

"It's fantastic to be recognised on a global scale for all of the hard work and persistence I’ve put in over the past four and half years since I started eStore Logistics." Williams says.

"This award further inspires me to take the business to the next level."

The CILTA Annual Transport and Logistics Industry Excellence Awards aim to recognise achievements and encourage the highest standards.

A CILTA spokesperson says the awards are a way of identifying those organisations and individuals whose performance has been outstanding proving that they have gone over and above and shown that they are leaders in their field.

Whatever the size of the organisation, excellence is achievable, and the Institute actively encourages entries from organisations of all sizes and sectors.

Winners will be announced at CILTA’s annual awards function on Saturday October 26 at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse in Sydney in conjunction with the Men of League Cox Plate Day from midday onwards.

Nominations span five categories and are open to all those organisations and individuals working in passenger, freight and defence transport and logistics.

For more information contact Hanna Lucas on 1300 68 11 34 or email hanna.lucas@cilta.com.au.

All nominations must be completed and received at CILTA by September 20.
