NSW surburb’s services tracked

Blacktown Busways bus customers can now track bus journeys in real time

Blacktown Busways bus customers in New South Wales
can now
track bus journeys in real time
with new
bus apps.

New South Wales Transport Minster Gladys Berejiklian this week announced the apps provide information on bus and train arrival times.

Berejiklian says this will help customers find the right bus stop nearby and where to buy a ticket.

“With these apps our customers will be able to plan ahead not just by looking at the timetable, but see where buses are on their route and how far away they are,” Berejiklian says.

“We are putting information into customers’ hands that allows them to make choices about which transport option is best for them at a particular time.”

The NSW Government brought together Australian app developers to create the apps as part of a competition.

The apps that include real time bus information are TripView, TripGo, Arrivo Sydney, Hidden City, Triptastic, Transit Times+ and Jaunt! Sydney.

Some apps provide free ‘lite’ versions or come at a minimal cost to access and are available on Apple and Android.
