Jamie Dunlop has taken the air-conditioning sales throne at the national thermo kingdom of
QTK Group.

With more than a decade experience in the transport and bus industry, the 47 year old was crowned QTK’s National Sales Transit Manager earlier this month.

Queensland-based QTK is the Australian supplier for Thermo King, which has maintained the lion’s share of air-conditioning sales in the national bus and coach market despite an influx of imported product in recent years.

Dunlop replaces Anthony O’Donnell who left QTK in April.

Dunlop says there will be some changes at QTK, but the company will remain focused on maintaining relationships with customers.

“There will be a few changes as far as the way things are done internally, but hopefully from the outside there won’t be too many noticeable changes,” Dunlop says.

“There will be a big focus on after sales service, which has sold the product for us in the past, but we need to strengthen that.”

Dunlop most recently worked for Volvo Australia selling buses for about two years after more than a decade with Thermo King in various roles.

Dunlop has also worked in sales for Iveco Trucks and Volvo Trucks.

“I have always been in the transport industry,” he says.

Dunlop says he plans to maintain and grow QTK’s current standing in the industry.

“The challenges are there ahead for us, with the influx of imported product and so on, but we look forward to those challenges and we have a good name in the industry and we just hope to grow that,” Dunlop says.

“The people we have working for us have been around for quite a while and are respected within the industry.”
