Volvo Bus invites you to take your best shot at winning its ‘Volvo Life’ photo competition

February 15, 2013

In celebrating over 40 years in Australia, Volvo Buses kick-off 2013 with the Volvo Life competition encouraging participants to submit photos of Volvo Buses, either past or present.

Whether the contestant is an owner, a driver or passenger the competition aims to capture memories, experiences and travels of Volvo’s history in Australia.

The competition is now open and will be running until the end of June 2013.

“We are proud of our over 40 year history in Australia and the photo competition is a fun way for entrants to share their Volvo Bus memories and experiences, whether current or classic”, Volvo Bus General Manager David Mead.

Volvo’s over four decade history in Australia is filled with many events and milestones including the first Volvo bus delivered in Australia in late 1971 to Grenda.

Australia’s first articulated bus – a 1976 Volvo – was delivered in Sydney to the Rowe family and more recently, Volvo launched its first hybrid bus in the Asia-Pacific region in 2013.

The winning photo will be selected by an official judging panel and it will be displayed on the front cover of the 2014 Volvo Bus Australia calendar.

The winner will receive a $1000 shopping spree along with over $500 worth of Volvo merchandise.

Selected photos will also be displayed on the competition website.

To enter the competition, participants upload their photo on the photo competition website, accessed from the Volvo Bus Australia website www.volvobuses.com.au.

The closing date for entries is June 30, 2013. The winner will be announced in early July.
