NSW police are conducting inquiries after a woman was allegedly indecently assaulted on a bus in inner-Sydney yesterday morning.

The 30-year-old woman and her husband boarded a city-bound STA bus on Anzac Parade, Kensington, about 6.40am on Thursday.

As the bus travelled along Oxford Street, Surry Hills, the woman was allegedly groped from behind by an unknown man.

The woman confronted the man about the incident before she and her husband got off the bus at Martin Place.

Inquiries into the incident are now underway.
