A
review of bus services in NSW has resulted in changes to more than 200 school bus services for 57 schools, and timetable changes to 20 Manly bus routes.

According to Transport for NSW, the changes to northern beaches and lower north shore bus services will be implemented from Sunday October 7 to improve reliability of services for customers.

A Transport for NSW spokesperson says bus services from
the Manly
area were reviewed to check that timetables matched with bus journey times.

"No area is static – people move in and out, new housing and shopping developments are built and community facilities evolve," the spokesperson says.

"The flow on is a change to road usage and traffic patterns which affects the journey times of bus services. This is why it’s important to periodically review these services to ensure that customers have timetables that are accurate and reliable."

As well as the changes to regular route services, the spokesperson says there will also be changes to many school bus timetables.

"For most students their school bus timetable may change by only a few minutes, however, there are a couple of routes with changes of up to 14 minutes," the spokesperson says.
