Woman carrying baby dies after school bus crash

A NSW women who was carrying her baby has died today after being hit by a school bus

New South Wales police and paramedics have attended the scene of a fatal crash involving a bus and a pedestrian at Beecroft today.

Police say the woman, who was holding her 11-month-old baby girl, fell under the bus, which was
carrying primary school children, and sustained fatal injuries at about 3.20pm.

The baby girl was unharmed and has been taken to Royal North Shore Hospital for observation.

Police say the women was
aged in her 40s and was crossing Hannah Road, at the intersection of Beecroft Road, when she was allegedly struck by
the bus.

Crash investigators are en route will continue their investigations.
