Greyhound Australia re-configures its web browsing for mobile smartphone users

February 21, 2012

Greyhound Australia has re-configured its website for easier smartphone browsing and online booking.

Greyhound General Manager of Marketing Gagandeep Singh says the company was always looking for new and innovative ways to improve the customer experience.

“We believe innovations like this improve our customers’ experience by placing information directly at their fingertips,” he says.

“The mobile site has been an instant hit with customers of all ages.

“We are also seeing strong demand from older age groups because it is a fast and straightforward way of booking travel from any location at any time.”

The mobile site provides one tap access to three Greyhound sites – express bookings, passes and ‘My Booking’.

Ticket prices for Greyhound’s mobile service are the same as those offered on the company’s main website www.greyhound.com.au.

Smartphone users can also access the company’s main website via a click through ‘Full Site’ link at the bottom of the screen.

The mobile site was developed in-house by Greyhound’s technology department and is the first in a line of technological innovations the company is investigating.

“New technology is changing the way people research and book travel,” says Singh.
