Greyhound Australia has partnered with award winning surf adventure operator Mojosurf to launch an experiential express coach service from Sydney aimed at the youth travel market.

Greyhound Chief Operating Officer Tony Hopkins says surf enthusiasts and backpackers would be transported from Sydney to Byron Bay on board its new Backpacker Express Service.

"We have collaborated with Mojosurf on our Backpacker Express Service to deliver a highly experiential youth coach service," Hopkins says.

The Backpacker Express service has a reduced number of stops from Sydney to Byron Bay pulling in at Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour.

Mojosurf Managing Director Nathan Folkes says the Backpacker Express Service will also stop at both Mojosurf camp locations at Crescent Head and Spot X.

"Finding a transport partner for our expanding business was crucial to allow our team to focus on what they do best – delivering the ultimate surfing experience for young travellers," Folkes says.

"This is the first time we have partnered with a major transport operator and Greyhound appealed to us because of their excellent safety record," he says.

Each Backpacker Express Service will carry Mojosurf Guides and feature on board surfing videos.

Greyhound Australia and Mojosurf signed a 12 month agreement, with a view to an ongoing long-term partnership between the two operators.
