Count down to Terrigal

Still a month away, but the clock is counting down to BusNSW’s annual conference, being held at Terrigal on the Central Coast in April

It’s looking like a big year for BusNSW, already holding a successful Coach and Charter seminar late in February, and now preparing for the association’s annual conference at Crowne Plaza Terrigal in April.

BusNSW Executive Director Darryl Mellish says the conference theme ‘Driving Outcomes’ reflects the need for industry and government to drive outcomes for the community.

“This conference provides members with an ideal opportunity to gain a better understanding of government direction and issues impacting on the bus and coach industry,” Mellish says.

Delegates should also be among the first to hear from the new NSW Minister for Transport.

“The program on Saturday 16th April features a government address just 21 days after the state election from the Minister for Transport,” Mellish says.

Other topics to be presented during the day include:

– NES, Modern Award and Enterprise Agreements – taking stock

– Marketing to get bums on seats – the key success factors

– Integrated network plans and growth buses – what have we learnt

Before lunch delegates will be entertained by special guest speaker, award-winning athlete and media personality Jane Flemming.

The conference closes with a panel session involving BusNSW, Transport NSW and operator representatives looking at a number of hot topics in a session titled ‘Bus Procurement, Specification, Livery and Financing – Where are we heading?’

The 2011 BusNSW Conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza Terrigal on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th April, 2011.

Registration Forms are available at the BusNSW website www.busnsw.com.au or by contacting BusNSW on (02) 8839 9500.
