Transport and logistics leaders from around the globe will be in Sydney in early May when the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport’s Australian division hosts – for the first time – the CILT International Convention.

CILTA CEO Hal Morris says the five day convention is a great opportunity for Australian transport and logistics leaders to meet with their international counterparts.

"It’s a chance for us to showcase Australian know-how on the world stage," Morris says.

"It is a busy program and is designed to allow people to either attend the full convention or to just join us for one or more of the individual events."

Morris says the program includes meetings of the International Council and its various sub-committees, a young professional’s stream, the launch of the new Supply Chain Innovation Alliance, a welcome reception, the International President's Dinner and awards evening cruising Sydney Harbour and a major stand alone one day Conference.

"This is the first time the full CILT International Convention Program of this scale will be hosted by CILT Australia" Morris says.

Over 30 countries will be represented at the event from Sunday 1 May at the Sydney Harbour Marriott.
