Conlon retains Transport as Rann rings changes

Thorough reshuffle of South Australian ministers sees 11 moves

Long-serving South Australian Transport Minister Pat Conlon held on to his portfolio following the reshuffle announced today that saw 11 changes in a ministry of 15.

Conlon, whose responsibilities remain unchanged, has held the position since 2005.

However, he is to be supported by newcomer Tom Kenyon as Road Safety Minister who is also Minister Assisting the Premier.

New Deputy Premier John Rau adds Urban Development, Planning and the City of Adelaide and the new role of Minister for Food Marketing to his positions of Attorney-General and Minister for Justice and for Tourism.

The other new minister is Bernard Finnegan will be in charge of Industrial Relations, Local Government and Gambling portfolios.

Former Employment Minister Jack Snelling, takes over Treasury from Kevin Foley, who becomes Minister for Police and Emergency Services along with Defence Industries and Motor Sport.
