Bus services in Sydney are back to normal after State Transit drivers went on strike on Friday (December 18).

The Rail, Tram and Bus Union (RBTU) will put a government offer of a 6 percent payrise over two years to its members.

State Transit has reportedly withdrawn its demand that more casual drivers be used.

The RBTU has until January 26 to arrive at different ways to achieve efficiencies.

NSW Premier, Kristina Keneally, says negotiations will continue until February 26.

If an agreement is not reached in that time, the full bench of the Industrial Relations Commission would be asked to arbitrate, she says.
