Lucas, Haoust, Hurst and Volvo take out BIC awards

The leading lights of the Australian bus and coach industry were recognised at the end of the Bus Industry Confederation’s (BIC) annual conference in Hobart yesterday.

The BIC National Awards presentation was chaired by Tasmanian Bus Association Executive Director, Geoff Lewis.

The Supplier of the Year Award (sponsored by ABC Magazine) went to Volvo.

Peter Hurst of Hopwood Integrated Training in Queensland was named Achiever of the Year (the award was sponsored by ABCUA).

Crown Coaches’ Victor and Julie Haoust were awarded the Environmental Excellence and Innovation Award (sponsored by Iveco).

And former BIC chairman and Warrnambool Bus Lines Managing Director, Stephen Lucas, was presented with the Outstanding Contribution to Industry Award (sponsored by Iveco).
