Diesel prices are back up after their recent downward trend, rising up to a 110.4 cents per litre average across the country, for the week ending October 18.
Terminal gate pricing data from the Australian Institute of Petroleum shows prices in all states apart from Darwin hovering around the 109 to 110 cents per litre mark throughout the week.
Diesel in Melbourne as per usual was the cheapest in the country, averaging at a price of 109.2 cents per litre and was closely followed by Brisbane which averaged 109.5 cents.
Sydney and Adelaide were not far behind in the standings, with prices of 109.7 and 109.9 cents per litre respectively.
As usual Darwin topped the list with an average diesel price of 114 cents per litre, 3.7 cents higher than Perth which finished as the second most expensive city at 110.3 cents a litre.
