Count down to inaugural Australian Bus + Coach Show

BusNSW is finalising preparations for the inaugural Australian Bus + Coach Show and the 2009 BusNSW conference, to be held

BusNSW is finalising preparations for the inaugural Australian Bus + Coach Show and the 2009 BusNSW conference, to be held at Rosehill Gardens in Sydney next week.

The events will be attended by Australian and International bus and coach operators and employees, government representatives, equipment and service suppliers, tourism and hospitality providers, and bus enthusiasts.

BusNSW Executive Director Darryl Mellish says it is an ideal time to showcase the bus and coach industry following several years of bus reform in NSW.

With the NSW Government currently developing a Transport Blueprint for NSW the bus and coach industry is exhibiting the vehicles, products and services required to meet NSW and Australian public transport challenges, now and into the future.

“Over $30 million worth of vehicles from leading manufacturers will be on display at the Australian Bus and Coach Show 2009,” Mellish says.

“Attendees will have an opportunity to check out the latest engine, transmission and diagnostic technology, as well as new state of the art body designs.”

Both Australian and International bus builders will display a number of new hybrid diesel-electrical buses, and the newest high capacity vehicles designed for mass transit.

“There will be 100 indoor exhibition booths displaying products, services and tourism information for the bus and coach industry,” Mellish says.

“Show attendees will have an excellent opportunity to evaluate and source different products and services at the one location.”

The Australian Bus + Coach Show and the 2009 BusNSW conference will be held at Rosehill Gardens on Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 October, 2009.
