Graham Davis takes up position as QBIC President

New Queensland Bus Industry Council (QBIC) President Graham Davis says he is keen to open up the channels of communication

New Queensland Bus Industry Council (QBIC) President Graham Davis says he is keen to open up the channels of communication with bus operators across the state.

The Logan City Bus Service General Manager takes up the role of QBIC President after Kynoch Coaches Director Jason Ward left the position in April.

Davis says one of his major objectives is to maintain an “inclusive” association.

“I use that word because every operator in the state that wants to be part of QBIC can be,” he says. “I see us as being inclusive in that regard.

“I want to be able to hear what people’s concerns are and channel resolutions of issues through our committee structure.”

Issues on the association’s agenda include new funding arrangements for school bus operators, up and coming 3G contract negotiations for regional urban operators, the impacts of budgetary funding decisions on public transport and the emerging issue of award modernisation.

Prior to his role at Logan City Bus Service, Davis ran the Pulitano Group as CEO and was a Brisbane Transport Divisional Manager.
