It is a triple bonus for the bus industry this week. Three major events have been unleashed on the public. And we don’t mean Pauline going up against Warwick Capper. That’s just entertainment.

The inquiry into public transport has gone on the road. Submissions closed February 27, and now the discussions have begun.

June marks the date where the report will be finalised.

BIC has officially launched the Day in the Life DVD. BIC say as jobs disappear in other industries, the bus and coach sector will need more workers.

The DVD was conceived at a time the industry was competing with industries like the mining sector. It was a needed tool compete with other industries for workers.

BIC are now the accidental heroes as the public transport sector booms. The DVD is virtually on cue.

To beautifully cap this off we have the start of building a multi-million dollar facility in Tomago, Newcastle.

Volgren are re-enforcing the message with the new facility.

The industry is rapidly growing and we need more people, more buses, more builders, more mechanics and generally more staff.

Lets ride this trend as long as we can. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?
