Inner city Sydney locality Wynard moves to pre-pay bus fares

From Monday March 2, 2009, bus stops at Carrington, York and Clarence Streets in Wynyard will be converted to PrePay-only.

From Monday March 2, 2009, bus stops at Carrington, York and Clarence Streets in Wynyard will be converted to PrePay-only.

To speed up passenger boarding times and help improve the on time reliability of bus services, no tickets will be sold on buses at these stops, weekdays between 7am and 7pm.

Using a prepaid multi-ride ticket such as TravelTen or TravelPass allows the bus to resume its trip faster and also save you 20 percent or more compared to single ride tickets.

Tickets are available at ticket outlets. Look out for the purple PrePay flag or sign on display.

Wynyard is the first step in the whole CBD converting to the PrePay program.
