Iconic 92 year-old New South Wales bus company Fearnes Coaches has been taken over by Busabout.

Busabout spokesperson Joe Calabro says it is great pleasure to buy such an icon as Fearnes.

“We look forward to serving the Wagga Wagga and Harden communities for many years to come,” he says.

“We have agreed to keep the Fearnes name for a transitional period, and over time the company will be rebranded to Busabout Wagga,” Calabro says.

The Fearnes family spokesperson Audrey Fearne says the company will be in good hands because it has been sold to experienced third generation bus operators.

“We are pleased to have served the community for the last 92 years, and are extremely confident that the incoming operators, Busabout will continue to provide excellent service to the community,” she says,

“They are experienced third generation bus operators, and were the only logical choice when our family decided to retire,” Fearne says.
