Road resurfacing work will begin on the Sturt Highway between Accommodation Hill and Anna Creek on Tuesday 10 June 2008.

The South Australian Department for Transport, Energy and Infrastructure (DTEI) will undertake the work on the Sturt Highway, approximately 10 kilometres east of Truro and will include part of the Accommodation Hill climbing lane.

Advanced warning and roadwork signs will be in place during the construction period.

The Sturt Highway will remain open to traffic with lane restrictions in place.

A speed restriction of 25 kilometres per hour will apply as required when workers are on site.

An 80 and 60 kilometre per hour speed restriction will apply at all other times until the final line marking is completed.

DTEI will make every effort to minimise the affects on road users with construction work undertaken between 7.00 am and 5.30 pm Monday to Saturday.

The work is scheduled for completion by July 2008.

DTEI asks motorists to be patient and drive with caution through the work site and apologises for any inconvenience.
