Bulli Pass is now open in both directions to light vehicles, five days ahead of schedule.

Northbound heavy vehicles can also use the pass; however the southbound 12-tonne weight restriction will remain in place until the end of the week.

Local electronic message signs have also been changed to let motorists know the pass is now open.

RTA crews and contractors have been working day and night to get the repairs done as quickly as possible.

Rock bolts, or metal rods, have been inserted into the side of the slope, along with a new concrete retaining wall to ensure the area is secure.

The RTA will be carrying further slope stability work on the pass in August and September of this year.

This work will require further road closures, which will be kept to a minimum to limit the disruption to residents and motorists.

Full details of this work will be provided when the project plans are finalised.
