Skills Council seeks input on training needs for logistics sector

The national Transport and Logistics Industry Skills Council (ISC) is asking industry professionals where it thinks the training priorities lie

The national Transport and Logistics Industry Skills Council (ISC) is asking industry professionals where it thinks the training priorities lie this year.

The advisory group is gathering industry feedback on workforce placing issues with an online survey to inform the Council on where key training resources and priorities should be focussed in the next 12 months.

“This is industry’s opportunity to inform the Skills Council on where key resources and priorities should be focused over the next 12 month period,” the Council says.

“Your input is requested in completing the survey to help inform the Skills Council priorities both in the short and longer term.”

The Council says the survey will gather important information on where skills and training shortages are manifesting themselves within businesses engaged in the transport and logistics sector.

The group is responsible for the development of training packages, their related qualifications and the provision of vocational education and training advice across the road, rail, maritime and aviation industries.

The survey can be found on the ISC website.
