Rowville Coaches proprietor Ian Johnson (better known as Johnno) has sold his business to Wangaratta-based operation, Newton’s Bus Service.
After 15 years running Rowville Coaches, Johnno is retiring from the bus and coach industry and is said to be taking up his doctor’s advice and “slowing down”.
Originally trained as a plumber, Johnno started in the bus and coach industry as a driver.
He built his business up from one coach to five, running day tours for senior citizens clubs, running tourist trips to central Australia and other charter work for organisations such as TAFE and local universities.
Newton’s Bus Service will take control of Rowville Coaches from Monday, December 21.
Rowville Coaches is situated approximately 30 km south-east of central Melbourne.
