But at the centre of it all is one familiar, smiling face. The driver.
Bus drivers are at the heart of every journey, ensuring everything runs as smoothly as possible. They are the first “good morning” you hear, the friendly face on a tough day, the reason your child feels safe on the school run.
So, in celebration of the upcoming ‘People Edition’ of ABC Magazine in August, we’re launching the Happiest Bus Driver Competition – and we want your help to find them!
The Happiest Bus Driver Competition is a search across Australia and New Zealand for the drivers who go above and beyond, delivering not just passengers, but positivity, laughter and impeccable service along the way.
What kind of driver are we looking for?
Do you know a bus driver who:

- Knows their regular passengers by name?
- Turns a routine ride into the best part of your day?
- Provides hilarious commentary during the run?
- Decorates the bus for special occasions?
- Spreads cheer?
- Keeps the mood positive?
- Has an incredibly interesting story, maybe of triumph or perseverance?

The winner will be profiled in the next edition of ABC magazine, sharing their story and shining a spotlight on the people who make the transport industry such a vibrant community.
