Greyhound Australia will once again provide two coaches to accompany riders and crew at this week’s fundraising event
Greyhound Australia says it will be back supporting the Tour de Cure for this year’s Signature Tour, out on the road from Coffs Harbour to Noosa this week.
Two Greyhound coaches will accompany 133 riders and 49 crew as they make their way up the coast from March 16 to 23, with the tour set to reach the impressive milestones of 100 cancer research breakthroughs and $100 million raised since inception.
Tour de Cure is a cancer agnostic not for profit and funds Australian Cancer Research projects along with support and prevention projects around the country.
To further support the cause, Greyhound will donate $1 from every ticket sold during the week of the tour, according to Greyhound Australia CEO Dan Smith.

“We travel the route between Coffs Harbour and Noosa every day and meet people from all walks of life, including many who have been affected by cancer,” Smith says.
“We are honoured to continue our partnership with Tour de Cure and help support the fantastic work they do in the areas of cancer research and support.”
Tour de Cure CEO Simon Rountree says it marks the sixth year of the partnership since Greyhound began its support in 2017.
“Tour de Cure is incredibly grateful for the support from Greyhound again this year,” he says.
“Both organisations have experienced firsthand the impact that cancer has on communities across Australia.
“Working together we will increase the funds that can be channelled towards vital cancer research and support programs for people currently going through their cancer journey.”
