Greyhound Australia has announced its support for this year’s Tour de Cure Signature Tour from Hobart to Adelaide.
Two Greyhound coaches accompanied 187 riders and support crew during the event, with the tour aiming to raise $2 million for the fight against cancer.
Tour de Cure is a cancer agnostic not-for-profit organisation and funds Australian Cancer Research projects along with support and prevention projects across Australia.
Greyhound Australia CEO Dan Smith says the operator donated $1 for every ticket sold between March 14 and 21.
“We are honoured to continue our partnership with Tour de Cure to bolster the fantastic work they do in the areas of cancer research and support,” Smith says.
“Greyhound is committed to growing and strengthening our support of this worthy cause.”
Tour de Cure CEO Simon Rountree says 2024 marks the seventh year of its partnership with Greyhound Australia.
“Tour de Cure is incredibly grateful for the support from Greyhound again this year,” Rountree says.
“Both organisations have experienced firsthand the impact that cancer has on communities across Australia.
“Working together, we will increase the funds that can be channelled towards vital cancer research and support programs for people currently going through their cancer journey.”
