A big pink bus has hit the streets of Melbourne in the name of breast cancer research.
Grenda Corporation has joined forces with Make Breast Cancer History, donating The Pink Bus, a full-sized branded pink bus aimed at raising awareness for the Make Breast Cancer History Gala Evening.
The pink bus is decked out with eye-catching pink signage, designed pro bono by Davidson Branding. Printing and installation was provided at a heavily discounted rate by Sign A Rama in Dandenong.
And it doesn’t stop with the externals; the pink bus is as pink on the inside as it is on the outside.
McConnell Seats Australia and fabric supplier, Reatex, created custom-made pink seat covers for the vehicle.
“Breast cancer has or will touch most of us in some way or another,” says Grenda Corporation Managing Director Scott Grenda.
“When Grenda was approached to sponsor this event, we felt we had a unique opportunity to not only support, but to highlight the gala evening in an eye-catching way – the Pink Bus.
“We are proud to be involved with Make Breast Cancer History, and hope our small contribution can help make a difference.”
As well as acting as a shuttle on the night of the gala evening on October 10, the pink bus will also be available for charter by the public throughout October.
Each time the pink bus is chartered in October, Grenda will donate 10 percent of the proceeds to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and Breast Cancer Network Australia.
Make Breast Cancer History hopes to raise in excess of $100,000 for breast cancer research and awareness.
All funds raised will be donated to the Breast Cancer Network Australia, which offers information, treatment and support to breast cancer sufferers and their friends and family, and the National Breast Cancer Foundation – the national organisation for research into the prevention and cure of breast cancer.
Make Breast Cancer History Gala Evening will be held at Royal Brighton Yacht Club, Melbourne.
