This year’s National Bus & Coach Show is set to start with a bang, not a stutter, with GoZero Group opening the program with the unveiling of its new bus.
GoZero will be launching its brand new Australian designed and engineered Nexport NexGen Electric Bus to open the event and expects the opening offering to be one of the major talking points of the show.
“GoZero Group are excited to be launching our brand new Nexport NexGen Electric Bus fresh off the production line,” GoZero managing director Stephen Cartwright told ABC.
“The launch will be the first event on the programme on day one of the conference.
“GoZero’s newest model is designed and engineered in Australia for Australian roads and conditions which is great for local industry. For every one bus made in Australia, five jobs are retained – now that’s exciting.
“As a leading local OEM, we can’t wait for our customers to see the latest and greatest in electric bus and coaches for the Australian market, and expect the NexGen Low Floor Electric bus to be a major talking point.”
A key point of difference in the NexGen offering is the lack of presence of batteries on the vehicle’s roof which, according to GoZero, will improve safety and comfort for both the bus driver and its passengers.
“Our new 12.5 metre low floor public transport battery electric bus can carry up to 79 passengers and is capable of multiple charging methods and available in two battery variants,” Cartwright continues.
“The standard variant has no batteries on the roof which ensures greater safety and a smoother ride for drivers and passengers.
“We will also be showcasing our state-of-the-art coach and minibus.
“We are looking forward to exciting and delighting our customers with our Nexport buses – and taking their orders, of course!”
