The TWU has supported drivers from Surfside Buslines who went on strike last week
The Transport Workers’ Union (TWU) has announced that bus drivers from Surfside Buslines have taken industrial action in the Gold Coast.
Late last week the TWU announced that drivers went on a 24-hour strike for fair pay and safer working conditions.
The further industrial action follows previous efforts that helped secure a cost-of-living increase in the first year of the deal for drivers.

However, the TWU says a substandard increase in the second year would wipe out the achievements made in previous negotiations.
The TWU Queensland branch says drivers need fair pay, a real say and safe buses, and is calling on drivers to continue pushing for fair pay and safer working conditions.
