BCI is set to deliver Western Australia’s first fully electric private coach to Go West Tours
A Western Australian operator is set to make transport history by purchasing and commencing service with the state’s first fully electric private coach.
Go West Tours, who is part of Transit Systems, will add to its growing green fleet by commencing the South32 Worsley Alumina operation with the historic electric coach.
The vehicle will provide zero-emissions transport for mining employees from Bunbury to Collie, with BCI providing the coach to Go West.
Go West Tours is a specialist bus passenger transport business operating in regional and remote WA, serving the resources sector.
It has been part of the Transit Systems division since 2021.

“While there are electric government transport buses in WA, this is the first private commercial electric coach to operate in WA,” Go West general manager David Haoust says.
The coach’s batteries have a 422kWh capacity with a charging time ranging from three and a half to four hours.
The 55-seat coach will have mine site specifications and industry-leading safety features, including seatbelt detection systems, eight CCTV cameras, fire suppression system, tyre pressure monitoring system and collision alert system.
