Victorian seniors in regional Victoria are urged to take advantage of free travel for the 27th annual Victorian Seniors festival held from October 4 to 11.
Free travel is available to senior Victorians on V/Line services on October 6, 7, 8, 10 and 11 as part of the Victorian Seniors Festival.
During the Festival week from Sunday 4 to Sunday 11 October, Seniors Card holders will enjoy eight days of free transport on all metropolitan train, tram and bus services and all regional town bus services.
Last year more than 200,000 Victorian seniors took advantage of free travel.
Full details of the free public transport are available in the Festival Events program available from all Coles and Bi Lo supermarkets, local councils, libraries and neighbourhood houses.
Anyone who is 60 or over, a permanent resident of Victoria and working less than 35 hours a week in paid employment is eligible for a Seniors Card.
