German-based parts supplier E-T-A has a variety of products that have made waves in the Australasian bus and coach industry in recent years. From its market-leading circuit breakers for equipment protection to circuit protectors, more than 75 years of experience is allowing E-T-A to once again highlight its impressive capabilities at this year’s National Bus & Coach Show.
“We’re expecting even higher levels of engagement from bus and coach manufacturers in Brisbane compared to the 2022 Show,” E-T-A Australia managing director Andrew Skaltsounis told ABC.
“We want to raise awareness of our cost saving devices that go into bus and coach electrical systems.”
A primary part of its display at the show will be its SCS® Smart Control Systems for buses and coaches, including its Smart Control System 1000 power distribution units. These intelligent solutions handle power distribution and digitisation in vehicles with CAN communication, such as buses.
“The SCS portfolio comprises standardised hardware in combination with a flexibly adjustable software for easy vehicle modernisation and system integration,” Skaltsounis says.
“Comprehensive diagnostic functions allow early failure detection and reduce or avoid consequential damages, breakdown and downtimes. Flexible and compact CAN control units allow quick and easy extension of existing CAN networks.”
These units provide the benefits of electronic switching, including low control currents, low heat and noise development, high switching cycles and high cycle frequency.
Alongside E-T-A’s trusted range of electrical systems and components, Skaltsounis wants visitors to the E-T-A stall to understand the brand’s capabilities when it comes to energy saving, efficiency and electric mobility for buses and coaches.
“We want people to understand what our products can do for them regarding cost savings and efficiencies,” Skaltsounis says.
