Dyson Group’s Jabba the Bus vaccination service has ended its service after two years of popular mobile operations in north-east Victoria
Victorian and NSW operator Dyson Group says it’s the end of an era for Jabba the Bus (Bus 140), the beloved mobile vaccination service that’s been touring north-east Victoria for the past two years.
After countless vaccinations and saving lives on the road, Jabba is hanging up its wheels for good.
The bus, which was operated by GV Health, was the first of its kind in Australia and quickly became a household name in the fight against Covid-19.
Throughout its two years in service, the bus expanded its services to include other vaccinations, including the elusive Japanese Encephalitis.

With a base in Shepparton, Jabba went on a wild ride through Alexandra, Beveridge, Cobram, Eildon, Kilmore, Mansfield, Mt Buller, Seymour, Yarrawonga, Wallan and beyond!
At some points in its journey, Jabba teamed up with another vaccination bus, Maxine Vaccine (Bus 137), and was the inspiration behind other such buses at Dysons’ Sale and Wodonga depots.
It’s now the end of the road for Jabba. The bus went out in style with a farewell party at the Shepparton depot, where Alistair Honey and Jenni Slade were at the wheel for one last ride.
